Walton on Thames
A trip on the freshwater Thames for anyone wanting a taste of a different river rather than the Medway. Expect to paddle up to 10 miles but we shall keep within the whole group's ability.
A leader will attend to assist those requiring to be led.
This will be an out and back trip so no complicated car shuttles required.
Crossover or touring boats would be ideal which can be borrowed from the club if reserved.
Bring lunch and drinks.
There'll be an opportunity for a social gathering after the paddle.
Meet 9am at the free car park by Wilde Brunch Cafe, KT12 1QP.

All our trips are run by club members like you, and unless specifically described otherwise, they are peer paddles.
If you think that you would benefit from the support of a formal river leader or coach, please contact the trip organiser in advance - we can usually arrange something! Otherwise you should be confident that your own ability matches the trip as planned.
If your trip is being led by someone, a more experienced paddler, river leader, or a coach - it is your responsibility to mention any medical or other issues which may arise during the trip.

Discover Award paddlers and above. The leader shall be responsible for for those qualified to Discover Award.
